A video of a man singing on a Spanish beach has recently gone viral on social media. He sings over a backing track of Unchained Melody playing from a JBL Bluetooth speaker.

Mart Hoogkamer’s beach performance has caught the attention of thousands of people around the world. Performing on a beach with backing only from a Bluetooth speaker isn’t an easy job, but Mart absolutely nailed it. Mart was born in May 1998 and has gained a significant following for his music in his home country, Holland.

Mart appeared on season 8 of Holland’s Got Talent back in 2016. His participation in the TV show helped him to grow a large national following for his music.

Mart reached the final of Holland’s Got Talent performing a song by Willy Alberti. He ended up coming second to Nick Nicolai. Since appearing on the show, he signed a contract with Sony Music and has released multiple singles.

Holland’s Got Talent wasn’t Mart’s first notable singing contest. In 2008 he was a contestant in “Children Sing With Stars” where he came in second place. His first solo single was released on February 3, 2017; the song was called “In my dream” (written by Bram Koning and Hans Aalbers).
